Often when people are trying to lose weight or get healthy, they can automatically begin to dread all of the "cant's". Things they can't eat or drink, and things they can't do if they finally want to reach their goal. It can get overwhelming thinking about all of the foods that you think you CAN'T eat or beverages you CAN'T drink in order to reach your fitness goals.

Also, looking at a new exercise routine as how many workouts you have to do per week or month instead of looking at it day-by-day can also stress you out. In general, when you think about your weight loss journey and healthy living in a negative way, it may make you want to throw in the towel before you even start. 

If you've decided to embark on a healthy lifestyle or weight loss journey, be sure to enjoy your journey 

I would like to challenge you to look at the entire process in a positive way. I know that won't always be easy, but it is worth a try.

For example, instead of thinking about the foods you can't have, discover new healthy and delicious foods you CAN have. And instead of thinking you HAVE to workout, find enjoyable fitness activities that you enjoy and feel like you GET to do.

It truly is all about the way you look at the process. If you look at it as a fun challenge which will help you reach your goals, the entire process and journey will be a more enjoyable experience.

Whenever I am trying to reach a goal whether it is to lose weight or just get healthier, I find things to do that I enjoy and motivate me to keep going. I am currently doing the Kayla Itsines BBG program and following Intermittent Fasting principles. These are two things I enjoy doing and I feel like I can stick with and will help me reach my goals.  

I am also starting a December Ab challenge with the Happy Healthy Free Tribe on Facebook. Getting others involved in your journey helps as well. Some people enjoy looking at transformation television shows or before and after pictures.

You just have to find what pushes and motivates you. Overall find things that will help you enjoy your journey.
