PINEAPPLE BANANA DIGESTIVE RELIEF SMOOTHIE

Hello everyone, this is a smoothie that I use to relieve heartburn. It has all of my favorite heartburn fighting ingredients.

For this recipe I used:

2 cubes of crystallized ginger
1 cup of ice water
1 TBS Organic Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar
1/2 cup of pineapples
1/2 of a frozen banana
Blend and Enjoy.

Pineapple (Consume in moderation): Pineapple also has a digestive enzyme called bromelain, which is a mixture of proteolytic enzymes. These enzymes work together to help your digestive system break down and absorb proteins from the foods you eat. Additionally, bromelain from pineapple can help relieve stomach aches, heartburn, and diarrhea notes the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Ginger: Historically, ginger has a long tradition of being very effective in alleviating symptoms of gastrointestinal distress. In herbal medicine, ginger is regarded as an excellent carminative (a substance which promotes the elimination of intestinal gas) and intestinal spasmolytic (a substance which relaxes and soothes the intestinal tract). Banana: Bananas are a natural antacid, providing relief from acid reflux, heartburn, and GERD. Bananas are the only raw fruit that can be consumed without distress to relieve stomach ulcers by coating the lining of the stomach against corrosive acids. (Source Food Matters)
